Man, what a day. Booch went up to see the family yesterday AM, she left at about 9. She got up at 5 to clean the weasels before she left and let them play. When I got up, I checked them for food and what not before I came to work. Everything looked good, peace on earth, and I even picked up a few stray poop piles which were near the litter boxes in their cages, knowing it would be late last night when I got home to clean them. So I rolled in about 11 and pitched in. Holy shit. They went nuts and made a mess from hell. I suppose alot of it was they are used to being out before 18 hours but still. There was food scattered all over, shit everywhere, a right mess. So, I started cleaning. We let them out to play while we clean. Mind you, ferrets will use a litterbox, but its not 100%. Sometimes they hear natures call and obey, whereever they happen to be. Of course last night it seemed everyone was letting the chips fall where they may. It took quite awhile to get everyone fed, cleaned, watered and put to be, and I finally crawled in mine around 3-ish. Only to be awakened at 9 by that fucking idiot little bumblenuts calling and wanting me to come in at 1 instead of 4 so he could go out to Camp Upshur. Fucktard. Up and at 'em, well the kids didnt look TOO bad, but I suppose they knew I wasnt in a good mood anyway. They proceeded to get into EVERYTHING, drop presents everywhere, climb in and out of cages I was trying to clean, pooping in clean cages before the litterbaxes where back in, making each other EEEEKKK and generally being total pain in the asses. I regret to say I was less than nice to them. I yelled at them alot and even bopped a few noses. I know it was stupid, they really dont know, but they were getting on my last nerve. Anyway finally got them all clean and put up, but felt kinda shitty for being a piss ant. Then I came to work and had to put up with lil bumblenuts ignorance before he left. Topping it off, the hell snow is really melting now, temps around 50, which is making everything outside a swampy morass, and if theres one thing I hate its mud. I feel like I'm living on Dagobah. I expect to see Yoda camping out on my lawn. Well, I got 3 hours of OT for nothing, Booch will be home any minute and shes going to give the kids extended playtime tonight. I guess I'll make up my bad temper to them tonight or tomorrow. Since I had to come in here early, I didnt pack any vittles and ended up having Taco Hell. Nice post X Mas supper. Now if only COnnie doesnt call out, everything will look better after a good nights sleep... I hope.

Ok, so where the hell have I been? Lets review...<br />Last Friday I was off, went grocery shopping with Booch who was also off. Weather said heap big snow come, so we figured fuck it. By the time we got home and put stuff away, it started snowing...and snowing...and snowing some more. When we got up Saturday AM, we had over a foot and it was STILL snowing like hell. By mid afternoon, the reading was 19" and still snowing. At this point, I went out and began to try and make headway so I could get the truck out. I had parked it just a bit down the driveway facing out. By somewhere around 9 ( STILL snowing) I was able to get the truck to the road, which was bad, but had I needed to, I could have gotten around. Booch was supposed to work next AM, so I knew we could get her there. About 10, little bumblenuts called from work to ask if I wanted to come in, he'd been stuck 2 shifts and looked like no relief in sight. I told him "NO" because I wouldnt have gone in if he was dying, anyone else, yes but fuck him. Somewhere around 1AM snow stopped. Final total at the Highcienda: 22".... Sunday I got up and took Booch to work, then back home cleaned weasels and started digging my Lil Black Bastard out. While standing at the head of the driveway, shovel in hand looking at the road, some dickweed with a tractor and plow came by pushing the edge of the road and despite SEEING ME STANDING THERE, proceeded to bury the entrance to my driveway again and nearly me with it, then drove on laughing. Good thing for him I wasnt armed. I fetched Booch from work and came home to collapse, done in. Monday I spent digging her car out and making the parking area wide enough for all 3 vehicles. She took her car to work Monday. Tuesday was my first dayshift for the month. I tried to call out, but nobody else was coming in and Connie couldnt stay. As an added bonus bumblenuts was off because of some imaginary problem, so I went in and had a good day. I found out we had a DEQ inspection Wed and I knew Steve was out of leave, so Wed I DID call out and I got errands run and got the final things for X-Mas dinner. Thursday I came in for dayshift knowing it was 1/2 day and then got a good present...bumblenuts took off again. I bought the boys breakfast and then sneaked out at 11 and came home to begin cooking. Booch had to work until 7, so I was cooking and then cleaned weasels before the kids came for supper. We had an 18 lb ham, oyster stuffing mashed taters and gravy, rolls, sweet taters and cranberry sauce. We did the presents with the kids ( I got a large Texas Longhorns rug with the football field marked on it.) Also Wed I went by the Insane French WOmans and took the cookbook back to her. Her worthless spawn didnt help her during the snow at all which I found hilarious. And so we still have over a foot of snow, but its raining like hell. Booch took a quick run up to see the family and give them their gifts and I am back on 4-12 until Monday. Hope you all had a great X-Mas!

1. Egg Nog or Hot Chocolate? Either is fine<br /><br />2. Does Santa wrap presents or just set them under the tree? THIS santa just gives them to the intended victim, usually when I get them, because I wont wrap anything and I dont feel like hiding it...lol<br /><br />3. Colored lights on tree/house or white? I prefer the multi color lights<br /><br /><br /><br />4. Do you hang mistletoe? No but I'd like to find some wild mistletoe <br /><br />5. When do you put your decorations up? Well, this year we put the wreath on the door the day after T-givin and we just put the tree up last week.<br /><br />6. What is your favorite holiday dish? Ham, ham and more ham<br /><br />7. Favorite Holiday memory as a child: The year mom bought an artificial tree and started drinking Jack Daniels, then we decided to help her put it up and mixed all the branhes up. She was hammered and thr tree looked AWFUL...lol I still have pictures of it and mom sitting there drunk and pissed in a chair beside it...lol<br /><br />8. When and how did you learn the truth about Santa? I always knew it was bullshit, we lived in an apartment and there was no chimney not to mention few places to hide stuff...lol<br /><br />9. Do you open a gift on Christmas Eve? As a kid, mom let us open one X mas eve, as an adult when DD was growing up, we opened all the gifts X Mas eve so we could sleep in X mas, this year we'll probably do it X Mas eve again<br /><br />10. How do you decorate your Christmas Tree? It only has lights on it because the weasels like climbing it and would steal the ornaments and eat the tinsel...lol<br /><br />11. Snow! Love it or Dread it? Snow is cool. In my 46 years though its snowed on X mas exactly 3 times and one was on X mas eve, on X mas night and the other several days before. The report says we could get a foot of snow here Saturday night and if we do it will probably still be on the ground by X mas<br /><br />12. Can you ice skate? Yes, I've played ice hockey as well, but the blades are so thin I prefer rollerblading<br /><br />13. Do you remember your favorite gift? Hmmmm, nothing really jumps out at me right off<br /><br />14. What is the most important thing about the Holidays for you? A good meal and holiday pay <br /><br />15. What is your favorite Holiday Dessert? Pumpkin pie or most any dessert<br /><br />16. What is your favorite holiday tradition? Well not so much a tradition, but X mas eve I usually go off by myself awhile because I need to be alone ( long story) after an hour or so I'm good to go<br /><br />17. What tops your tree? A cheap Walmart star<br /><br />18. Which do you prefer: giving or receiving? Giving, I hate getting stuff<br /><br />19. What is your favorite Christmas Song? SILENT NIGHT in Gaelic by Enya<br /><br />20. Candy Canes! Yuck or Yum? YUCK! I dispise peppermint

Mike-5, weasels-2, or Weasels we have heard on High...

Ok, it appears I have arrested the destruction of the furniture from within by my weasels. I used chickenwire beneath my couch to close up all hidey holes through which they gained entrance into the guts. It looks lethal when you flip it over but from above, no trace. I also covered the bottom of Booch's overstuffed chair which they had begun work on by shredding the cover beneath it. Then I fixed one of the recliners, or so I thought. We skipped Booch's couch because they've already done as much to it underneath as they can. Anyway after 2 days of no visitors, this morning Pepper found a small hole beside the wire under the recliner and wiggled in. I had to coax her out with a treat but quickly fixed the problem. And earlier Chilli was scratching under the couch and I flipped it to find her unable to get OUT of the wire which puzzled me since it hadnt been disturbed, but later Gandhi.com popped out of the cushion and I surmised they were taking advanatge of a small seam and flap between the sections of the couch to climb UP, then wiggle IN. I fixed that with a few well placed staples to hold the flap shut. I still need to fix the new recliner which so far they havent really bothered, but I figure will now become the target of choice.<br />Friday its off on another rescue which will take Weasel Way to an even 30 critters. The last 2 we rescued have adjusted. One is a but undernourished but getting better and his female counterpart was really in sad shape but I think we've turned the corner with her and she should recover completely, we hope. On a sadder note, some research turned up the fact Old Man Weasels spells hes having occasionally are a form of Weasel Diabetes brought on by small tumors in his pancreas. Theres no cure, they can operate and remove them but they grow back. Besides, I think hes too elderly for surgery. So the best we can do is try and keep him from getting too excited because that brings on a spell. His blood sugar crashes and he goes into a sort of coma and just lays there limp drooling. When it happens, you can rub a lil honey on his teeth to bring him around and feed him so his blood sugar stays up, but as time goes on, his spells will become more and more frequent until he finally passes away. So far hes not having them really often, and its my hope if we can keep him from getting too excited often, he will be ok for awhile yet. I know all of them will eventually pass on, but I'm not ready to lose any and especially the Old Man. He is probably the best of them all, hes always happy, never gets into things, never asks for anything and loves everyone. I'm also thinking of trying to find an intern to help out from time to time. When we head off to Wonderfest this year and MonsterBash, its going to be too much for Duck Dick to do since he works. I think if I could find a responsible teen aged girl who loves ferrets, she could help out sometimes and take care of them for the few days we'll be gone. Its worth a try...

Weasels -2 Mike-1 start of the third round....

Well, the weasels discovered awhile back that inside my new ( as of January) Couch was a WONDERFUL place to get in, hide and burrow. The underside looks scary, but you cant see anything from the top. It has puffy rolls on each side above the arm which are decorative and the lil bastards got in those and began removing the stuffing. Its that stuff that looks like cotton, sort of stringy like a fake beard. Anyway they are determined to get inside and hide to nap and I am just as determined to make them stay OUT. I took some carpet squares and stapled those in place where they were gaining access, but the little shits found a way to get under it. So after much pondering, tonight I procured a roll of chickenwire at Lowes and I shall attempt to deny them access to ANY of the underside of the couch and a chair i the living room they've also been working on. It will take some engineering because the end sections of the couch recline, so I must fit the chickenwire around the mechanism. The good news is, even as ridiculous as this sounds, the chickenwire wont be visible from above. Trust me when I tell you my friends, there is NOTHING so hard headed as a weasel once they set their minds to something. For those of my readers who are not on Facebook, I will try to paste a link to the weasels X-Mas video which is on my facebook page. My page is open access so anyone should be able to see it. Check it out and let me know how you like it....<br /><br /><br /><lj-embed id="1" />

X-Mas melancohly... early

Well i got all the presents bought. Finished the kids tonight online. Thats a relief. Now need to get X-Mas cards out. Its feeling more X-Mas like now, cold and windy tonight, just need some snow. Of course each day that ticks closer to X-Mas makes me feel the dislike a bit more. On a brighter note, my buddy Whitey, aka Nutz is getting married Saturday. I'm proud to say I introduced him to Stac, his lovely bride to be a few years ago. I'd been chatting with her on the 'net for a few years and then introduced them. They hit it off, she flew out to visit for a week, and never left. It took Nutz a bit of time to get in the "marryin mood" I suppose, but those two will live to be old and gray and still in love, I know. Its going to be weird for me to sit in a church. Of course it wont be for long, but I still dont like 'em. Stac's mom and her BF and her dad are down for the wedding, so I'll get to meet them and she and Nutz will meet Booch for the first time. They're keeping it small, so I'm the only one of the old gang who got an actual invite, though I dont know if DD and Hollywood would have gone had they been invited. And so far as I know, none of the hockey people we know were. Of course Fred didnt get an invite, having Fred there would be odd indeed. LOL. So I guess I'll just bide my time and deal with the dual feelings, one of coolness because its my first Xmas I can relax w/o the cunt, and the usual nasties just because its XMas and that conjures up bad tastes in my mouth.

its time for.... THE YEAR IN REVIEW!!

Yes, once more time to put finger to keyboard and review the year that was, even if its not quite over yet...<br /><br />We'll start in:<br /><br />JANUARY- After being finally fed up with Frenchies bullshit, I got serious about moving and looked at houses. I found the current Highcienda and got a sweetheart deal on it.<br />Foolishly, I decided to have something done about some hemmerhoids I suffered from and on January 8th I went under the knife. I figured it would be a slam dunk thing and roll on. What I DIDNT realize is, when they do it, they have to traumatize all the muscles back there, alot of them which help one urinate. I was full to bursting for nearly 2 days before I could go and even then it took a long time to get back to normal. And I wont even kick in the bungled pain meds and anesthesia. To top it off, I ended up having to pay nearly 1000$ copay. Damned if I'll do THAT again. I started recieving statements from BC/BS saying my now bitch ex-wife had been using my insurance to pay for the delivery of her bastard spawn and hit the roof. She racked up well over 40k$ which she got gratis thanks to my being unable to boot her off since my leech drug his feet about the divorce forever.<br /><br />FEBUARY- Frenchie showed her ass after being egged on by the cunt when she knew I was ready to move. She had me tossed out of the house and while I was barred, the cunt came in and gaffled everything she could get her mitts on that was left. I ended up having to live at the Highcienda for almost a week before closing, but was able to move in the 13th offically. The kids came out to help and Booch came down for that weekend as well. I figured I'd get some payback as well and kidnapped the bitches car. She wanted to play "community property" so I one upped her. She came rolling up with the cops and the tard and thought she'd march in and take it back but was told by the cops to LEAVE. I had the satisfaction of ripping her a new asshole on the phone later when she called to try and wheedle it back. And the foundation of Weasel Way was laid when I adopted Stinky from a family here on base. I got him for Booch but he belongs to us both. She immediately loved him and little did I know what getting him would bring...<br /><br />MARCH-It went from a snowstorm to 85 degrees in 5 days, nothing like the weather here. Booch managed to lose Stinky TWICE in one weekend at her apartment, once when he got under the place and once when he hid, but she found him both times. The slippery slope of weaseldom continued as I adopted Daddys Lil Weasel and Old Man Weasel in a 2 day span. We moved Booch down from WVA and into the Highcienda and my leech finally took the cunt to court and had her over a barrel about the paternity of the maggot.<br /><br />APRIL- Weaseldom continued to march on as I procured 2 more weasels and a large cage for them.<br />Booches neices came down and spent a week over Easter and they decided they want to live with us. They had to go back, but planned to return when school was out. I got the Highcienda recarpeted ( and not a moment too soon, the weasels needed something else to stat destroying) It got hot as hell and my A/C wasnt working, but my old neighbor Craig charged it with freon and all was well. I got Gandhi weasel, adding to the growing collection and finally had the big pow-wow with the cunt and her liar and settled the property issues.<br /><br />MAY-The weasel kingdom grew yet again when we took in Slickback and Rosie. Booch and I did a kamikaze run to WOnderfest and saw many of the gang, a good time was had by all. We adopted yet ANOTHER weasel from a lady who found her outside stealing her cats food. We named her Bandit. Rosie died not long after we got her from complications of adrenal disease and Slick lost alot of weight and nearly died as well. We added to the collection of weasels adopting Stromboli.<br /><br /><br />JUNE- The divorce hearing went off without me as she didnt try to contest it, so I didnt have to go either. We adopted Cookie Bear and Squirrel because there are never enough weasels.Booch and I went to Monster Bash again and had a blast with all the people I know and love, even if we didnt see much of anything being shown because it sucked.<br /><br /><br />JULY- Booch's neices returned for a 2 week stay and had a blast. We had a nice BBQ and fireworks with the kids for the 4th.I ended up needing Craig to refresh my freon in the A/C again.Sara Karloffs husband Sparky died which devestated her.We ended up with 5 more weasels and anotehr large cage, but since they were big and tough, we've never managed to integrate them with the rest of the clan.<br /><br />AUGUST- We decided there was plenty of room, so we took in 5 more weasels. I had to jump off a tractor at work so I didnt get crushed rolling down a hill and broke all 5 metatarsil bones in my left foot.Spent the rest of the month off work but getting workmans comp. Not much to be done when you have a cast on.<br /><br />SEPTEMBER-Booch finally found work, such as it is, working at Bloom in the seafood department. I was still off from work healing. We rescued 2 more weasels, Stubby and Chili and Daddys Lil Weasel was killed by accident under the recliner.<br /><br />OCTOBER- Finally had to go back to work. My foot was pretty much totally healed, just a wee bit sore from non-use.I finally decided to make it official and started Weasel Way rescue. I decided to replace the furnace, A/C and all with a brand new unit which would be more energy efficient and give me a nice tax break as well. 2 more refugees joined Weasel Way, Pepper who I swear is Daddys Lil Weasel reincarnated and Charli, who was sick when we got her and didnt make it very long. Old Man Weasel wasnt doing so well and we moved him into the bedroom to bunk with Gandhi and let him be free range. He improved almost immediately. Joe Busam made the logo for Weasel Way for me.Stromboli finally succumbed to his melancohly and died. He seemed to miss his owner the whole time we had him. I finally recieved the paperwork making my divorce from the cunt legal.<br /><br />NOVEMBER- While at work on night I stepped behind a bush to have a pee and stepped on ( but didnt hurt) a tiny black kitten. being a sucker, I took her home and gave her to Booch and now Scabby is a member of the family and thinks she is a weasel. My birthday came and went uneventfully. I got a new neighbor, a 50-something old biker broad and she had a bunch of the biker idiots move her in. Thankfully its been quiet pretty much since. Booch went up for a visit to the relations and her neice Cassandra is having a hard time dealing with her parents who are drunks. We told her shes always welcome to come live with us if she wants to. Thanksgiving came and the kids were over. Had a great time, the first real holiday with just the family. We adopted 2 more weasels. and earlier we got a solo weasel. Booch is working towards a job at National airport with the TSA screening people and bags.<br /><br />DECEMBER- Got most of the X-Mas shopping done online and got the tree up. Had 3 OT shifts I worked in a week. I have to work X-Mas day but its 4-12.

Well, here I am, final one of the OT shifts. I was really dragging ass earlier, guess from the yo-yo schedule. About 10PM I unlimbered the cot and sleeping bag and took a nice little nap. I set my alarm for 4:30 because you can never trust bumblenuts, but Sherwood got stuck working a double with me because Johnson called out and he came in the building to get a bite to eat about 1:30, so I got up. I feel refreshed even after a short nap. I havent felt this good this time of night in a long time. It made me ponder midnights, I think most of why people dont like them is because they never really get acclimated to it. Also when you feel tired because you arent, you feel a bit lonely and resentful towards a world where everyone is asleep while you arent. But if you can adjust yourself to being awake, its really pretty cool. Everything is quiet and much slower, you have more time to let your mind wander and nobody to hassle you. I really love my 4-12 shifts but if I had to move to another shift, I think I'd take midnights instead of days.

What a difference 2 years can make...

Well, I just looked over my posts from last year and the year before. 2 years ago, the bitch was getting stupid and dragging me through hell. Last year I was STILL putting up with her shit, albeit, remotely, and Frenchie was making me need to kill her. But this year? Aces and eights. Booch and I put up the X Mas tree tonight, we just used lights and a star on it because the kids will no doubt like to climb it ( and they did). It still looks nice. Booch made some gingerbread cakies ( like a cookie/cake combo they were too thick...lol) while I put it together. I've never been really X-Masy since when I wsa at home, but this year for once, it actually seems ok. Most of it is because I dont have the bitch mico-managing every detail of X-Mas, and Frenchie and the dogs driving me nuts, I'm not jammed in a sardine tin I cna barely walk in and I'm not being bombed by shit I dont care about. Its MY X-Mas. I can do as much or little as I want, decorate or not and nobody to tell me different. Booch is like I am, X-Mas gives her mixed feelings too. We did the shopping online for her neices and nephews and thats finished. I took her down Saturday and we picked up her sewing machine I got her, but she hasnt had time to play with it yet. We got a nice snow Saturday, about 3", its pretty much melted now, but it was kind of nice. We actually went in WM Saturday to get a few strings of lights for the tree and a star. Also because we were hoping the bitch was working. Booch was wearing the bitche leatehr jacket i gave her, so it would have been priceless to run into her, but alas, she was not working. Working an OT shift tonight then home for a nap and back on 4-12. I have 3 of them this week, one more Wed night so the extra money will be nice but I wouldnt mind a long winters nap either. Friday we took in 2 more kids, 2 white weasels, a boy and a girl. The boy has a dot on his nose so I named him Rudy ( the dot nosed weasel...lol) and the girl I named Holly. Guess it must be X-Mas doing it. Meanwhile Sacbby kitty is now big enough to run all over the Highcienda and act like a lunatic. She can play with the weasels to an extent, but they can still get just a wee bit too rough with her. Too bad Scatshit is working tomorrow or I'd roll out the sleeping bag and grab me a nap....

Long weekend, OT and more goodies....

Well its time for my first 4 day weekend this month, but its not actually. I signed up for 3 days of OT which will fall partly on the weekend. The good part is, its midnight shift, so I'll be off all day tomorrow, all day Sat, work Sat night, off all day Sunday and Monday then work Monday night and come back in Tuesday afternoon. The last shift will be Wed night, so that will be a double. The good news is all 3 days of OT will be on one check. I picked up an hour today too when little bumblenuts had to leave early. Hopefully at some point I'll also get back the 3.5 hours bumblenuts jacked me out of back in July.<br /> Tomorrow I have a rescue down near Richmond. 2 weasels, the ladys daughter had them but went to school and she cant take care of them. That will bring our family up to 28, getting very close to the limit. It would irk me to have to turn down a weasel in need though. I wish people wouldnt get them because they look "cute" and then decide they're too much trouble. Mankind pisses me off alot of late.<br /> Also Saturday I need to run down past Richmond to look at a plow and a harrow to fit my Farmall A. I hoped to get a walk behind tractor but nobody has anything decent for sale. The A is a bit too big for what I want to do, but it would work.<br /> XMas wise I have Booch almost done, and waiting on the kids to tell em WTF they want. I told Duckus I'd get him a 42" TV but he declined and went and got a 50" himself. So now they need to get on the stick so I can get stuff and be done.<br /> Booch is slowly working through the red tape to get a job as an airport screen with TSA. She took the physical today and has sent in her papers for background check as well. She cant grasp the stuff the G asks over and over HAS to be written EXACTLY they way they want it. SHe says its stupid and I agree, but you have to play the game to work for Uncle.

Well, here it is less than a month from X-Mas and I have shopped not at all. I suppose I'll do most of it online like usual. I told Duckus I'd get him and Hollywood a TV if they wanted one but that would be it. He was hmming and hawing, so now I have to wait and see what he wants to do. Actually beyond the kids and Booch its not too bad. I need to get her neices and nephew a few toys and clothes, but nothing major. Booch could be a problem. Shes being a shit and saying "dont get me anything" but she did that for her b-day and when I didnt, she was acting like a piss ant. LOL. So I ended up getting her a Bret Farve jersey so she'd knock it off. And she says she like anything but then wont tell me any ideas. Women. I'll be really glad when its over so I can tally up the damage and start paying it all off. And to think a little less than a year ago I was debt free. Well, theres always OT, and I'll do well on my taxes this year, so at least I can make a dent in it.

A little unease, new kids, a chuckle, and Thanksgiving...

Well, I was off all week til today and it was always fun. Monday I went to the dentist and got a filling replaced. Then grabbed the last of the victuals needed for Thanksgiving, including 3 qts of oysters. Yummy! Tuesday I stopped at the Insane French Womans to clear the last bit of business, I got her to give me the big book'o recipes which had been collected over the years. Many of them were given by my extended family and I needed to make sure they stayed with it. I told her I would copy the whole book and she could have it back which relieved her. Since I left the waterheater blew up and now the dryer was dead. Both we sitting in the driveway because my brother in law had his truck repo'd and was now driving frenchies truck. LOL. He even drove by as we talked, looked and didnt stop. She wasnt pleased since he hasnt been by at all except to show her a deer he shot ( and not give her any meat from). She told me the bitch was having TG and invited her to eat and also mentioned the bitch hadnt mentioned our divorce. Then she started telling me the bitch had been trying to help her get social security ( key word TRYING, she couldnt pour piss out of a boot) and showed me the paperwork. It said since she hadnt earned enough credits, she'd been denied, all these years of working under the table finally catching up. Of course she told them she worked on military bases in France and Germany prior to getting married and she says she paid SS, but I havent seen any evidence of it. SS sent her the denial letter and said they would check to see if she were eligible for any benefits from those countries verison of SS. I dont think shes going to end up with anything, but she begged me to check into it since the bitch was clueless as always. I have today, half heartedly and it looks like shes screwed, but I cant feel sorry for her. The icing on the cake is, she isnt even a US citizen. She never bothered to renew her green card or apply for citizenship after she came her with the bitches dad, they were divorced 7 years later so, near as I can tell, shes here illegally. I doubt they will deport her, but even if she has legal recourse to apply, I dont think she can pass the test and it will cost her money. Bet she wishes now her daughter wasnt such a whore.<br /> Wed I had to go on a rescue and pick up 2 more kids. Note DO NOT TRAVEL THE DAY BEFORE A HOLIDAY. I mentioned in an earlier post about them, seem to be settling in nicely. Wed night the kids came over for a big oyster fry and it was kick ass. We all ate til we almost popped. Next morning Booch and I got up, cleaned weasels and started the vittles. We had turkey, mashed taters and gravy, oyster stuffin and regular stuffin, cranberry sauce, candied sweet taters, rolls and pumpkin and pecan pie as well as coconut custard pie. We all ate way too much and sat around watching football which was a double whammy of fun. The Cowboys mugged the Raiders and my mighty 'Horns rolled over A&M ( sorry darlin crashing_angel, just wasnt their year again). After the game, we moved the weasels from the living room into my model room because we now have 4 big cages and they were taking up a big chunk of the living room. I plan on getting my model room back eventually. LOL. Today was a perfect day, crisp and windy, really Fall-like. If I were off I would have built a fire to enjoy in the fireplace. Now, on to Xmas....yuck....

Weasels we have known and loved...

Taking a quick break from doing. I got the place cleaned up after going to fetch 2 more kids this morning ( hint: try NOT to travel the day before turkey day) The original kids will be here in a few hours to spend the night and have an oyster fry. Anyway, I was looking at the new additions and it struck me how after awhile theres always a weasel to remind you of another. I posted that Daddys Lil Weasel got killed which was awful for me, but a few weeks later I picked up another rescue, a little white female with bits of black in her fur and a dot on her nose like Taffy had. We named her Pepper and she may not look like Taffy, but her mannerisms are almost identicle. She comes out and runs around, then comes to see me. She'll let me pick her up and say hello, and sniffs my fingers to see if I was eating anything intersting, then she wants down to go play, exactly like Taffy always did. And when she plays with everyone else its nearly identicle to Taffy. Well, in todays batch, we got one who looks like a girl we already have named Misty, I call her Mr Mister. LOL. Anyway this one looks just like her but is alot more outgoing. And her fellow adoptee looks nearly identicle to Stromboli. He even has the sway back manner of walking Stromboli had. But hes much more outgoing as well. Its so funny how we take in rescues and they each have a different personality, but alot of them seem to mirror traits in others we have or have lost. We need to come up with names for these two, it'll hit me in the next day or so. They seem very happy, the lady who had them said it broke her heart but she just couldnt give them the time they need and she wnated them to have a good home, which they will. She was feeding them cat food and both are a bit thin, which is usual since cat food has no where near the protein they need. They went right to eating the Marhall ferret food which is good. In fact the Jr Stromboli was grabbing the cup when I refilled his bowl, they ate like they were starving. Tonight we'll put a new cage in service and even things out so each cage has 6 or so in it. Until another rescue beckons....

Well, I finally had a chance to make the start of a web site for the ferret rescue. the link:<br /><a href="http://mysite.verizon.net/web23yv2/">http://mysite.verizon.net/web23yv2/</a><br />The logo was done by my very good friend and fellow monster kid brother Joe Busam and he did a terrific job. The site is still under construction, so bear with me. I'll be doing hot or miss when I can for awhile yet. Tomorrow I have to run up to Dale City and get 2 more kids that the owner can no longer care for. Ferret.com had a big sale last week with free shipping and I bit the bullet and got another ferret nation cage, making 4 now. Since we're out of room in the living room for this cage, we're going to put all 4 in the model room. It will take up some space, but I can still work on my models in my spare time (HA!). We'll be doing some shuffling of living quarters and evening the cages up a bit. Tomorrow is weasel fetching, then clean clean cleaning in prep for the kids coming over tomorrow night for an oyster fry and then spending the night for Turkey Day.

hatin on Mel....

Totally random, but last night I caught the tail end of one of my favorite movies on TV, THE YEAR OF LIVING DANGEROUSLY, which got me thinking. Mel Gibson is a douchbag. I wasnt one of those who went nuts over him for MAD MAX, he didnt strike me as being much of an actor. But I followed him and he got better. I started liking him. And I think he reached his pinnacle in YOLD. Afterwards he began a slow but perceptible slide until he became the lunatic douche he is today. You could sort of see it coming. He started believing he was hot shit. The LEATHAL WEAPONS were ok, but far from his best. By the time his massive ego and religious stupidity made him make his piece of shit PASSION OF CHRIST, I was hoping he'd keel over dead. Reading the bullshit Mel and Jim Caveweasel shoveled out about "miracles" on the set made me want to vomit. And then he decides to make up his own revisionist tale with APOCALYPTO, the man is not his fucking stupid, but a total ego-maniac. Personally I wish he'd just go away and stop trying to be relevant. Hes been exposed as an anti-smite, a hypocrite, an adulterer and all around cum bubble, but he has no sense of shame so he still rattles around trying to be something. Fuck him, he can go to hell...

Its been a busy week or so. The good news, Tommy Spazz told me that because bumblenuts is too stupid to give an articulate answer on WHY the shifts should change, he doesnt see them changing "..anytime soon, if EVER". Which means no hassles on dayshift more than already occur. Bumblenuts is digging himself more holes, I filed more grievences on him yesterday about messing up OT pay I was owed. Thats not going to play well with the powers that be.<br /> The new kitten is doing good. I call her Scabby because she had a few cuts on her which are healing. Booch wants to call her BooBoo which is fine, I'll just call her Scabby.LOL. The only problem is, being so little and not having a cat to teach her, she attacks her food. She ends up with canned food all over her because she stands IN the bowl and wallows in it. Quite a mess to clean up from her and the tub. Shes staying in the big whirlpool tub until we can let her roam about after Thanksgiving most likely. She thinks shes a weasel apparently as well. When shes out in the bathroom, she wanders over and chows on the food we have out for Gandhi and the Old Man. And when she sees them she rubs them and purrs. The Old Man has no issues but she freaks Gandhi out, he puffs all up and flees.<br /> And on the weasel front, we rescued anotehr ferret this past week. We named him Earl. Hes a light colored bandit weasel and so far seems to be fitting in. A lady wants us to take 2 more this coming week, and thus the hordes grow. Ferret.com had a sale on so I ordered 2 big bags of food, a big bag of litter and a new cage like the others. Its huge and can hold about 10 ferrets. That makes 4 cages now. We have them in the living room but if we put the 4th one up, they will most likely be moved into my hobby room since theres more room. The day approachs when we will be at capacity at Weasel Way, but for now, we still continue to take in those huddled masses yearning to eeeek free.<br /> Booch went back up home to visit the relations yesterday and will return late tonight. She told me on the phone being up there is like sucking out her soul, the only reason she goes is to see her neices. She said the whole town is soul crushing. Her oldest neice wants to move down here with us and I told Booch shes welcome. Kassandra is 15, so shes nearly old enough to do so and as I mentioned to Booch, staying in Huntington, she'll end up at a dead end like all the rest of the people up there. At least if she came down here, she could get a job and have hope of a future. Its awful to see a place like that where people have just given up all hope.<br /> After tomorrow I'm off until Friday so maybe I can get a few things done around the Highcienda. The kids will be over for Thanksgiving which will be nice. And after that begins the fucked up rush to X-Mas....

Neighbors...

Well, when I moved into the Highcienda back in Febuary, the neighbors to my right were an old couple and they moved about 3 weeks after I moved it. According to the locals who stopped by Hollywoods yardsale this summer, they moved into an assisted living home. The house was empty all summer then a few weeks ago it popped up for sale. Barb, my realtor found out it had been forclosed and was a short sale. The price was about 125k$ and the house is a wee bit smaller than mine but has about an acre more in land and its nicely landscaped and has a paved driveway. The for sale sign was up about 2 weeks then disappeared and the night before last I saw lights and a vehicle over there. I figured someone bought it. Then today I saw a truck and 2 people working on the fence so I went and introduced myself. Turns out they were fixing the fence for the lady who bought the place. She apparently had retired from Giant or Safeway or some grocery and according to these friends of her, she was looking for a job. Which made me think how the HELL do youi buy a house without a job? I know with the mortgage rate and what she paid her monthly mortgage will be at least 900-1000$ and the house is all electric with a heat pump for heat so her electric bill is going to run over 200$ at least. Anyway the clincher was when the guy told me she rides a motorcycle and so do her friends. From the look of this guy I knew she was going to be at least in her 50s and I was right. When I went to work I saw the entire crew over helping her move in ( she'll be living alone) and went over to introduce myself. It was just as I feared, a bunch of past middle aged biker types, you had the leather sleevless vests, santa beards and bandannas on the guys, lots of tattoos and plenty of " WOOOOOOOOOOO!"ing and grab ass. Some dick lit a string of firecrackers and tossed them in the yard because he could I guess. And the woman looked rode hard and put up wet too many times. She was definately an old bikers bitch. So now I can look forward to weekends full of HAWHAWHAW WOOOOOOOOO! PAAARRRTTYYY!!! ect from these clowns. Of course this is the only neighbor I can see though only slightly when the leaves are off. I try not to be judgemental, but I can see this is going to be annoying. The saving grace is, once the costs start piling up, she might not be able to keep things going and will have to move. I was really liking the peace and quiet too. Well, time will tell...

Well I made it through my first part of dayshift ok. Back on 4-12 for 4 now. I was contemplating life, and I reckon I'm pretty much satisfied. Things have settled into a routine again. For a long time, right after the bitch left and even up until I moved things were all topsy turvey. Even when i moved into the Highcienda I still couldnt seem to get a routine. Breaking my foot gave me alot of time to settle down and get straight. Now I get up, clean the weasels and let them play, have a spot of lunch watch a bit of TV and check the mail and off to work. Come home, do a few minor things maybe watch a little more TV shower and then snooze. On my days off its interspaced with doing what needs be done around the place. monotonous? Maybe a little, but rote isnt too bad, you always know whats coming. The holidays are approaching and this will be the first rewal holiday at the Highcienda. The kids will be over to have turkey on Thanksgiving and its weird but cool to think I get to do the vittles and decide what we have. It means having to cook it too, although Booch will do alot, but I dont really mind. I guess its been a whirlwind year, and before long it will BE a year since I've been settled.
Awful movie review... WARNING SPOILERS

Last night Booch brought home a bootleg copy of PARANORMAL ACTIVITY. I still cant fathom how these things get bootlegged so damned fast, but sometimes its a good thing. A guy at work loaned it to her. Its a movie I was already leery of simply because the asshats have made such a fuss over it. Thats never a good sign for me. Its something I almost definately wouldnt have gone to see but waited til it hit HBO. But it was ridiculous, and I'll give a synopsis so you can see why....<br />WARNING WARNING WARNING!!!! SPOILERS AFTER THIS POINT!!!<br /><br /><br /><br />Ok so the whole premise is, this chick has this "entity" which has sort of followed her around since she was 8. It whispers to her in her sleep and other things that scare her silly and we also learn SUPPOSEDLY it burned her childhood home down. He idiot BF who is a total jerkoff decides hes going to start filming EVERYTHING in an attempt to "document" this, so he gets this vid camera which hes eitehr carrying around or has watching everything they do including while they sleep. The banter is annoying at first because nothing really happens and then after a few mights we see the bedroom door move back and forth a few times. Wow, scary. They call this ghost hunter type guy who immediately tells them he feels the presence telling him to get out and that its not a ghost, its a demon and he gives them a demonologists name and number. So THEN the chucklehead tells the GF nothings really happening dont call the guy he'll keep documenting blah blah blah. He gets Ouija board after the GF makes him promise not to ( why is it that Ouija boards seem to be the only method for bringing demons and such in contact with people? What did they do before they were invented?) the GF freaks and walks out, he follows and we see the board on cam the thing moves and then a small fire starts on it. They come back and numbnuts says he can "see some sort of message" on the board which we never see or have explained. Meanwhile at night the GF gets up and stands for a few hours staring at the dickweed sleeping, she also wanders outside in a sort of trance and of course their are noises, shadows and the door moves and the blannkets on the bed move. Eventually they cant sleep get freaked out and the dipshit decides to do some research on the internet and finds some womans case who had EXACTLY THE SAME THING. Its complete with a "smuggled film made by the priests who attempted an exorcism" of the woman ( as if an exorcism wasnt busy enough, lets make a bootleg film!) who appears to have undegone a "transformation" in possesion and has a really poor attempt at the makeup from THE EXORCIST. The film shows her jerking around a bit and then to everyones horror ( yawn) she CHEWS HER OWN ARM OFF AND DIES OF BLOOD LOSS! on camera. Guess the priests were too busy filming to use a tourniquet. Now the GF is totally freaked out and starts pissing and moaning. The dickweed gets made and tell the demonn "fuck you" and the ghost guy is called, comes back and tells them he HAS to leave RIGHT NOW the thing is pushing him but he'll get help which of course he never does. The domonologist is conviently now out of the country. On the next night "something" grabs the GF and drags her screaming downstairs and the dipshit follows and brings her back. Much angst and whining, they see what looks like a bite on her. Dipshit tells her they need to LEAVE NOW, even though all along its mentioned the deom will simply follow her. She gets all trancelike and tells dipshit she needs to stay and he does. So they go to sleep again. The GF wakes up, stands and stares at dipshit for an hour or so in a trance, goes downstairs, screams, dipshit runs to investigate, scuffling, then GF comes back in a trance bloody with a butcher knife and sits rocking by the bed for about 18 hours on cam. The alarm goes off, the phone rings, someone knocks, comes in and we assume finds dipshit dead, screams and flees, then alter teh cops show up, knock come in and yell at GF who snaps to, gets up to ask where dipshit is walks towards the cops with the knife, is told to drop it and doesnt and gets shot. End of movie. And the insulting thing is this is supposed to be real, like the BLAIR WITCH. I dont know if I was insulted more by them thinking anyone would believe this or the awfullness of the movie. And what kind of camera did dipshit get that never runs the battery down and seems to have tapes that last for weeks?<br />If people really were so scared by this they left the theaters, all I can say is we have some mighty pathetic folks going to movies. If you want a good chuckle, by all means watch it when it comes on DVD or HBO, but dont pay amy real money, it just encourages these boobs to make dreck like this.

Well I suppose I was overdue for weirdness. SO, last night whilst I was outside, I stepped behind the shrubbery by the building to water it. ( which makes me think of the amusing story of a French anarchist put on trial during the early part of the century. The prosecutor said accusingly ' You were seen talking to an anarchist behind a lamp post!' to which he replied,<br />'perhaps your honor can tell me please, where is "behind a lamp post"?'....lol but I digress)<br />As I stepped behind where it was dark, my foot stepped lightly on something and I heard a noise like one of those rubber squeaky toys for dogs. I was like WTF? and stepped back. Using my foot I found the object and moved it out in the light. And what was before my eyes? A tiny black kitten. Fortuitously I had barely stepped on him causing alarm but no damage. He was a wee lil tyke barely had his eyes open, so I took him in and wrapped him in a shirt and put him in a box until I got off. The strange part is, theres no way he WALKED there, hes much too young. And there were no OTHER kittens nearby ( I looked) nor a mammy cat of any sort. When I got him home, Booch examined him and he has no wounds but he does have a few places that look as though perhaps something had him in its mouth. Thus, either I disturbed mammy transporting him, which I doubt, or creature or creatures unknown was preparing to have him for a snack and my arrival spoiled their foul deed. Either way he is now the newest resident of the Highcienda, just another critter I live to serve. And hes very young, he cant even eat yet so Booch is feeding him by dropper until he grows a bit. I figure he'll end up thinking he's a weasel once hes old enough to interact with them. Yes, once more my sense of fair play has gotten me into another fine mess...

Almost Halloween

Wow, this year it really came suddenly. I dont know why, but most years I have plenty of time to get psyched up but this year it didnt seem like almost Halloween until Tuesday or so. Anyway, as mentioned, I'm stuck at work tomorrow which will suck but I'm more bummed I havent had time to savor things. And now next thing you know it will be the holidays. In other news, we lost Stromboli last week. He never did "thrive" since we got him, he did ok, but never seemed to put on weight or look good. Oh he ate fine, like a pig infact til the end. The last few days, he was pooping really nasty, a slurry with blood in it. Hes done that before though so we passed it off as him being upset at something. He was a very sensitive weasel. From what we gleaned from hbis former owner, he was elderly, set in his ways, and easily upset. I think he missed her ( his owner) and never stopped grieving. Anyway Booch had finished his Dracula cape up a few days before and we got a few pictures of him wearing it. When he passed, we buried him in his cape just like Lugosi was. He had the best life we could give him for the 5 or 6 months he lived with us, and I'm sure hes better off now he isnt grieving.<br />Got the new heat & A/C system in and its nice, just set the thermostat to what temp you want and it will heat/cool as needed. Also has the capability to be programmed to set temps at where you want them all week, night and day. While I was off last weekend I perfected the art of making homemade strombolis. We had them 3 nights in a row and they got better each time. The final one looked more like a pie stuffed to bursting with ricotta, pepperoni, italian sausage and mozzerella. As I promised, my foot has now healed 99.9% and I can Astaire myself almost as well as I ever could. And finally, I got my copy of my divorce papers in the mail today, as of the 23rd, I am rid of that disgusting bitch forever. She can rot in hell now and has no ties to me and mine anymore...

...my first 4 day weekend after going back, and it was most welcome. Got a few more things done. Got some stuff cleaned up in the house, fixed weasel areas that were messy, got vittles, made some kick your ass strombolis, cut up firewood and stacked it and got the garden unfenced and ready to turn under. Also got to see my mighty 'Horns romp Mizzou's ass. And congrats to them Aggies for taking Mike "Dick" Leech and his merry band of butt pirates to a good old fashioned Texas ass whupping. Still have a ton of stuff to do and now have a 10 day stretch before anotehr 4 day weekend. Oh, also got the Highcienda put into both mine AND Duck Dicks name, thus should I get my ticket punched, its all his without legal entanglement. Countdown to Halloween now and even if I do have to work, I'll still enjoy it vicariously. Duckus is doing the High tradition at one of their friends house, I'd love to be there to help scare the kids, but work beckons. The year is on an express elevator to Hell now, winding down quick, the holidays just ahead...

Had a slight mishap last night. I got home and Gandhi came out from under the bed to say hi and play. I put him on the bed which he loves. Being a waterbed he reels around and it gets him all hyper so he starts bouncing and turning flips. He will also grab your hands or feet and nip you when he gets all crazy. He was wound up pretty good and I leaned over to scoop him up and pet him when he launched himself at me and nipped me right in my good eye. He only got the outside corner of the eyelid, but he scratched the eyeball a wee bit which hurt like hell and made my eyelid swell a little. The outside of my eyeball is all red too. It was a bit off putting when he did it, I would never have expected that. He didnt mean it I know, he was just playing but now I have to be extra careful with them, no need to lose my last good eye that way...

Day 2...and a weasel update

Made it through the first day without killing, now on to day 2. At least its a Saturday. Its another raw, chilly drizzly Fall day and trust me I did NOT want to come to work. I suppose 2 months off can spoil anyone. I'll survive, but its a tough slog getting used to work again. On a brighter note, the celebrated Red River Shootout went off today ( and all my Texas friends will know the sizzle of this...lol) and once more the mighty 'Horns slapped down Cryin Bob Stoops and his choke-lahomo bunghole sooners. It was a sloppy game and by no means a sure thing, but as Al Davis said Just win baby. Now avoid any unpleasant stumbles and its hello Rose Bowl come January to play for the big one.<br /><br />Now as promised, a weasel update. After Daddys Lil Weasels accidental death, we figured we needed to extend the paw of help again, so we took in 2 more from a girl who said she was pregnant, sick and couldnt care for them. A white male we named Stubby because he has a shorter tail, and a female bandit weasel we named Chilli for no good reason except I made a pot that day. Shes almost black and both are full of energy and playful. Stubby went in with the Originals and we put Chilli into the Nervous Hospital because she was smaller. They settled in very well. Then about a month ago, we took in 2 small females from a lady who had rescued them but couldnt care for them. One is white with a hint of black throughout her coat and a black dot on her nose I named Pepper, and shes slowly helping me overcome Daddys Lil Weasels passing. Shes alot like her in many ways. The other was a typical smaller bandit type weasel. When we got her Duck Dick and Hollywood came over for supper and DD brough a small blowup beach ball type thing. He was playing with this one and she went spazz and attacked the ball making these weird noises. It was funny, she nipped him hard but in play. He called her Psycho weasel but we decided to name her Charli ( after Manson..lol) Unfortunately Charli was already pretty ill when we got her and went downhill fast. She only made it about 2 weeks. Shortly after we got those 2, we decided to put Old Man Weasel in the bedroom as a free range companion to Gandhi. It totally changed him. Where he acted like a geriatric, hes now all full of energy and spends alot of time running and laughing, even annoying Gandhi when he wants to play at night. They've reached an understanding and even sleep together but Gandhi seems unsure how to take the old guy. Its nice to see him having a good time though. So for now, we have 22 and holding, but at anytime we may end up rescueing another fuzzy in need.
Well, here I am, back at work. Seems like nothings changed. Seeing bumble for 5 minutes made me want to crush his skull worse than ever. He's like a social disease, nobody wants to be around him. At least I have a month of 4-12 so I wont see him. I must say sitting around the Highcienda beat this all to hell. Its a perfect Fall day, chilly, cluody and drizzly, I am glad to see the season change. I have decided to seriously see whats available to move into job-wise to get away from this place. I cant deal with the stupidity without getting a shotgun and decorating walls with skull and brains. The downside is most anythign will be dayshift which I despise, but I'm going to see what I can do. SOmewhere there has to be a better work environment than this.
